Bad breath can be treated and prevented. There are certain steps that you need to take in order to avoid this condition. Bad breath control starts with a few recommendations. Remember that if you neglect following any of these recommendations you are either increasing your chances of having bad breath, or slowing down your treatment:
Drink lots of water.
Replace your toothbrush frequently. A toothbrush should be used for 4 months maximum.
Brush your teeth after eating.
Floss once a day. This will help you remove plaque and food particles from your teeth.
Clean your tongue. Most people think that the the mouth is only about the teeth, but the teeth are just a percentage of the total area. To clean your tongue it is recommended that you use a tongue scraper or a baking soda solution mixed with water.
Clean your teeth well. Most of the time bad breath comes because of poor dental hygiene. It important we learn how to clean our teeth properly. It’s a good idea to have this discussion with your dentist or dental hygenist.
Visit the dentist. A regular visit to the dentist can prevent bad breath that has its roots in dental problems.
For bad breath control you can use the power of breath fresheners but be sure they don’t contain alcohol, and better off if they are based on herbs such as parsley. And if you have children, teach them proper dental hygiene so they can avoid future bad breath problems and have no need to find a cure for bad breath later!
